A new film festival took place from December- 3rd to 7th 2008. The first human rights film festival in Norway.

At the first festival we showed some of the best and most thought-provoking flims about human rights and human wrongs. Films that were ironic, emotional, amazing and inspiring.

60 years of human rights
5 days of film, discussion and inspiration

The festival was the ideal way to be involved in the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and to warm up for the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, both of whch take place on 10th December.

The main festival venue was Parkteatret in Oslo, but anyone can still join in, anywhere in Norway - see how you can Do It Yourself.

Think about what role business has in human rights

Be Inspired by what activists can achieve

Laugh at how ridiculous it can all seem when looked at in a different light

Be moved by the conditions people live in and how they respond

Learn about countries and issues not covered in the media

Form your opinions, join the debate and be part of the solution.

Donate and be part of making this happen

The continued existence of this festival relies on generous
contributions (just like Obama...). Please help by givng a donation (your name will be acknowledged on the website).
